The following is what occurred last Saturday morning at home as I was getting ready for the day. The short version will be available a little later, and the latest from each main feed site moments ago above.

08/26/23 - God Bless America (unlisted to the general public on the channel)

Video description:

6:30 a.m. last Saturday morning I poured myself a good cup of coffee, walked out the house and noticed that there were already deer in the front yard. After I walked inside the workshop, I grabbed the camera and started recording. Then I sat down to drink my coffee while watching Mother Nature at her finest. As the deer were finishing up feeding, I thought of a particular song that kept running through my head. I created this video to include that song and just got around to uploading it this afternoon.

The antlerless deer in the video is the same doe with a fawn that remains within the immediate area daily this summer. Both are doing very well and I couldn't be any happier.

All the photography that was captured by the three different cameras were placed in consecutive order by way of timestamp, so, what you see is how I saw it that early Saturday morning. The Tactacam camera image is best when the sun is out and you will get to see what I mean as the morning time passes, the video image begins to improve. Everything captured by the cameras occurred before sunrise during the dawn hour.

This is the long version. The public version will be available shortly.

Quick note: The programmable feeder goes off @6:30 a.m. & 5:30 p.m each day.

I hope you enjoy and, God bless America!

And it kind of looks like there might be another @theotherfarm too, maybe, it's a little hard to tell, but the one furthest from the camera kind of looks like he's a little light on the velvet at least.

I received the unit as a gift and I have to tell ya, it's the best bluetooth outdoor music speaker I own. Easy to use/place, links up super quick, sound volume and quality is superb considering the size of the unit, and it packs real nice inside most any carrying bag without taking up too much room. It's not bulky and weighs practically nothing. I thought I'd go ahead and share my experience regarding the Bushnell Outdoorsman bluetooth outdoor weatherproof speaker unit because I'm highly impressed with it. I've been using it often over any of the others that I have throughout the summer and it's been on a few getaway trips as well. We've had plenty of enjoyment out of the unit in between battery charges. The battery is long lasting where I've used it for hours at a time, pretty much all day before I would need to charge the unit again. This video was taken last night while enjoying the brilliant moonlit sky getting rid of some storm debris at the burn-pit.

F.Y.I. - I'm thinking of buying another which would allow more audio coverage in a larger gathering area. I have not begun to look for availability nor the current cost, but I'm pretty sure I'll mostly likely pickup another. That's how much I enjoy having one today.

9/6/23 EDIT:

I wanted to include this much better review video than mine for those interested. This person received the unit in the same fashion as myself, becoming a member of an online retailer of outdoor stuff.

I hope you enjoying my sharing and thank you for watching!

9:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023: - Bucks & Does

Some of the very latest of deer activity captured on trail cameras. Last night was the boys and this mornin was the girls turn. Everything seems to be coming along nicely and all of them continue to look and act healthy, which is wonderful! Still waiting on a few of the other bigger bucks to show up and see if they have shed as well, but most of the bucks here at home have already since the first of the month.

Below is a Kentucky deer hunt video that was uploaded this morning. I cared to include the video to the journal today, and a photo from this morning at the main feed site with some deer activity. It's been slow but steady the past couple of days regarding them. I mainly wanted to share the video because not only did I enjoy viewing it, but I thought it's an excellent example of pressing onward when unexpected circumstance occur during a planned hunt no matter if you're hunting within your home state or out of state.

I've been a follower of the channel ever since my younger brother shared one of their alligator hunts with me last year. It's probably one of my favorite outdoor channels too.

I hope you enjoy the video.

20230913_125930.jpg

Today was the day of tending to the feed sites at both properties. The following pix attachments though are from the other farm when I was there this afternoon. Everything seems to be coming along just fine there.

20230913_183804.jpg

I had to take care of a down tree that fell out into the beanfield, which kind of held me up the last time I tended that place because I did not have my chainsaw with me.

I swapped batteries and memory cards for the trail cameras there today because the memory on both cards were full. Below is the last buck captured on the camera above the food on that memory card.

Not sure when or where I'll do my first archery hunt. I suppose I'll start figuring that out over this weekend after I go through the most recent memory card pulls. Other than that, I'm pretty much ready to go. Just waiting on the opener.
