Is that turtle in the yard?
Did that project buck ever offer a shot? All the pics I didn't see a shot offered. I know some people put a branch or some kind of blocker up so the deer have to offer a shot to get to the food. Great angles for that cam tho!
Gotcha. Just wanting to know how to coach this kid. LolYes! I could have easy shot him at approximately 8 yards broadside as he approached the feed area. He is one of the bucks that was born 2 years ago right here on the property, also the first deer to eat out of the feed trough too. He has never left the area that I know of during the entire time he's been alive. I believe he is one of the offspring of the buck I shot back in 2021. He has the same body and rack characteristics as that 2021 buck I harvested. He's truly turning out to be a real good looking buck for sure. Next year, I expect him to blow up plenty and turn fully into a beautiful big 10 or more!
Best thing we did with the kids was use a deer figure and a laser pointer for them to visualize where the shot would be and how angles affect where they aim. Deer can move odd in the blink of an eye so it helped them think for themselves if they should wait or take the shot.Gotcha. Just wanting to know how to coach this kid. Lol
Levi is better than I am about that part. In the pictures in the YouTube video denny made, I did not see an angle that Levi would've taken a shot. This probably because I am watching and looking carefully from a different point of view now. It isn't just cool, I'm analyzing what denny shares at a different angle. Which I know is misleading as the pictures show very little of what happened. That is why I asked. Lol. Maybe I should've text him and it might seem as I'm questioning his set up, which I am not. Just looking for more information. Which I also didn't ever think was needed from denny . We all know he is very thorough with his information packed post.Best thing we did with the kids was use a deer figure and a laser pointer for them to visualize where the shot would be and how angles affect where they aim.
