Just overnight on Tuesday our area exploded with fresh rubs everywhere.
They are gettin fired up.

I’m sitting in my new hut tonight. They gotta get rolling soon. This will be my first hunt wearing black sweat britches and hoodie. Ha. Enclosed blind, elavated just 6 feet, yeah I’m getting old... or smarter. 
I stayed out till @ 1:30, rain was really coming down. I switched out cards in some cams & things appear to be happening. This guy came up to The Oak two nights in a row checking out does feeding. I just might settle for him , hopefully something better will be coming thru as well. I'll be back out in a lil while.

Not sure about going out today with the rain. Seems it could be hit or miss. Gotta make up my mind quick if I want to get at it. Not a fan of climbing up some of these ridges when they are wet, they get pretty slick.

You guys must be part fish! It's so bad here that my retention basin behind my barn is filling up, and I'm talking about 6-8' of water. Lol. I'll be swimming out to one of my best stands tomorrow am and sitting all day
Theyre moving so i’m making every effort to get out. Has been evenings mostly. Saw 8 does yesterday with one acting real slinky like a dog who knew it was in trouble. She stayed real low to the ground and would stop to eat but only for a moment. Ran in circles basically for an hour. Saw another deer near it then she slowed down, but pretty confident it was another doe unless it was a button buck. Didnt get a good enough view to argue that it couldve been a buck tending to her.
