Same four deer I saw this morning, one within bow range which is what you see above. He hit the PLB and I made a short video clip of it. It'll be posted within my journal here soon.

See you back here tomorrow.

30 more seconds....if I'd stayed on my ass for 30 more seconds....had a six pt at 20ft I coulda lassoed. My dumb ass thought I need to see the whole field before dark to see if there's anymore out of coming to me. Stood up with a wind guest as I was tucked in the corn 5yrds. Took 2 steps awe shit. Big ass deer 20 yrds I see the mid body back. It was right there coming the same course the little guy did. All I look for is mature and the thundering thuds of its bounding off reassured I'd shot whatever it was. 30 more seconds.

Wow that was something else. At 6:20 young buck came out of the wood onto the field and was standing On the tree line working the scrape. Really cool to see him standing up licking the branches and making scrape for about 15 mins .That was awesome. Then later on 2 mama doe and 4 fawns came to the corn one mama doe was chilling and waiting on them to eat the roll out. Since she was waiting on them....I just full send it. It was a miss and clean. I shot just a bit too low and went underneath her. Like Brock would say “all the fun, no mess”. Had a great weekend.

I hunted yesterday eve and today in WV. In 3 hunts I had 3 shooters in range with no shots. The best being this morning 20 yards behind me. Two hours later Tyler’s buddy Ethan was able to put a kill shot on him. It’s the 10 point I hit last year and had 5 yards behind me last weekend. This is the best deer we have ever killed at our place.... Ethan was in the stand I saw him on last weekend which is actually in public. It scores 137” which in Ohio relates to a 150+.

Had does and younguns all around me from 4-7:15 when I finally got to climb down. Couple gray squirrels nearby also had me locked down them lil dirty bastards! Had tons of great shot ops on all 5 deer which was good. Planning on going back out in morning if weather cooperates. Lots of standing dead ash where I’m hunting so if it’s windy I’ll sit it out. Couple pics from tonight.

The tree I’m in in the dark triple trunk maple in background on far right in the TC pics. The bb in first and last pics has a tumor or puss sack on his brisket. Swings and jiggles when he walks.
