You are darn right on that one! I might have been one of the lucky bastards that shot a hog for a first deer Dante is referring to. lol Hard to top it when you start out winning the lottery. Not like I am JD or something. They don't grow on trees where I live. rotflmao

Seems all the bucks have busted up and none of the older bucks are running together anymore. Velvet is close to coming off and they want to start going their seperate ways now. The big woods 8pt hasn't come back yet but his buddy the smaller 8pt did. The pasture big 8pt came back so I am happy about that.

Here we go

Yeah. His ear is broken and just hangs there. I only got 6 pics of him and 4 showing straight to his right ear but the last 2 pics he turns his head and in both pics it's just hanging there like that. I figure he busted it fighting or at least that's the story that I'm going with lol.

He reminds me a lot of my 8 that is atop my list...I decided to name the 8 im after Cadillac.

I laughed when I seen the pic of the 2 does and the one sniffing him lol.

I told Dante that I could only imagine what was being said. " Hey ladies, You know what they say about big antlers right ? " So the one had to look for herself lmao.

I set the cams on video for this run and see what we get. The one cam has well over 700 pics and the battery indicator is still showing full charge. Love it !!

With the bucks starting to separate and find their own little slice of heaven it will be getting harder to keep up with the brutes. Add in the tree rat hunters soon and those bucks will be scattered all over the county by seasons start. It's an uphill battle from here on out but, It's a fun way to spend some time lol.

About the only pics of interest this go round. Hot weather and the velvet shedding is got the bucks holed up and not moving. Can't wait until the front moves through and it cools off so the deer start moving again.
