Best of luck. Options are limitless on play sets. I like your idea. Sounds pretty cool.
Projects? We have one going on. 2 years ago we decided we really needed to paint. Several months later (heck, maybe a year later but I can't remember anymore), we picked out colors. Planned on doing it over the winter. Winter got busy. We did take a pencil and mark B/G/T on the walls for color they would end up being. We were optimistic. Unfortunately, since choosing colors I have painted the entire interior of 2 rental properties while our house sits with B/G/T on the worn walls.
Why isn't it done? Well, 8yrs ago we added on. The drywall guys were more like roofers, framers, or foundation guys. Needless to say, there are cracks and botched areas I knew would need attention prior to paint. In addition to the cracks and blemish repairs, when they had our roof opened up to perform the addition, we got some water damage. It was covered with Killz at the time and painted but over time the stain has bled through. Some of the old plaster started to peel with the 8yr old paint. Long story short, my wife agreed to pay half the bill if we hired it out. Who am I to argue? Granted I am covering materials AND half the labor, it is better than the whole bill. The people doing the work are going to do a two tone knockdown on the entire area as well. This will look more modern and help blend the smooth drywall finished ceilings and the old sand swirl plaster finish into a uniform appearance. In the meantime, our house is a disaster but it will be nice to have this completed.
